The Team
Behind LPS
Two specialists. 35+ years in construction, 21 years exclusively in precast. Industry experience meets doctoral research — applied directly to factory-floor problems, anywhere in the world.
Industry Experience
Meets Academic Rigour
Most consultancies bring either operational experience or technology expertise. LPS brings both — through a team that has worked at a senior level in precast manufacturing and produced original doctoral research on the digital systems transforming it.
Richard brings 35+ years in the construction industry, including 21 years working exclusively in precast concrete manufacturing. Scott brings 10+ years of production planning and management expertise, combined with a PhD in digital twin applications for predictive maintenance in construction — research that directly underpins the Digital Twin and AI Quality Control services LPS delivers to clients anywhere in the world.

Founder & Principal Consultant
Lean Manufacturing · DfMA · Construction 4.0 Strategy · Tekla Structures · Carbon Compliance
Richard has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years, spending 21 of those working exclusively in the precast concrete industry, including 16 years at O’Reilly Precast, one of Ireland’s leading manufacturers, as a Lead Designer and Technical Director. That production floor experience — from daily design and management through to complex client delivery — is the practical foundation of everything LPS does.
During his time in manufacturing, Richard introduced Tekla Structures 3D modelling to the business in 2005 and led the development of a standardised DfMA solution for Aldi retail stores across Ireland — a project requiring tight integration of design, production, and logistics into a repeatable delivery model.
Richard leads LPS’s lean manufacturing, DfMA, Construction 4.0 strategy, and carbon compliance service lines, and developed Carbon Tracker® — LPS’s specialist embodied carbon monitoring and management framework built specifically for precast producers.

Scott
Sheenan
PhD — Co-Founder & Technology Lead
Production Planning · Digital Twin Applications · Predictive Maintenance · AI Systems
Scott brings over 10 years of hands-on experience in precast concrete production planning and management, combined with doctoral research that places LPS at the leading edge of digital twin application in the construction sector.
His PhD focused specifically on digital twin applications in predictive maintenance and construction — original research that translates directly into LPS’s Digital Twin and AI Quality Control service lines. This is not theoretical: Scott applies academic rigour to real production constraints, bridging the gap between research findings and factory-floor implementation.
With a background spanning production planning, scheduling, and operations management in precast environments, Scott is uniquely positioned to design digital systems that work within real manufacturing constraints, not despite them.
Doctoral Research — Digital Twins & Predictive Maintenance
Scott’s PhD examined how real-time data from production assets can be used to predict equipment failure, reduce unplanned downtime, and inform maintenance scheduling in precast manufacturing environments — research with direct commercial application to the industry LPS serves.

Backed by the
Right Partnerships
LPS’s in-house expertise is extended through formal partnerships that bring specialist technology depth to every client engagement.
Our partnership with DAC.digital covers AI agent development and Computer Vision deployment — giving LPS genuine software engineering capability alongside operational consultancy experience.
LPS is also the authorised sales agent for GMT Robotics in the precast concrete sector. GMT Robotics designs and manufactures advanced robotic welding systems for rebar cage prefabrication — technology that directly addresses one of the most labour-intensive and skills-dependent processes in precast production. As a sales agent, LPS brings this automation capability directly to precast manufacturers, helping them evaluate, specify, and invest in robotic rebar production that reduces costs and removes dependency on scarce skilled labour.
GMT Robotics — Robotic Rebar Automation
GMT Robotics systems automate the welding of rebar cages for beams, columns, walls, diaphragm walls, and tunnel segments — including long, flat products.
Their systems deliver up to 40% cost reduction per tonne compared with manual production and require up to 80% fewer workers on site. Contact LPS to discuss whether robotic rebar automation is the right next step for your plant.
DAC.digital — Technology Partner
Formal partnership for AI agent development, Computer Vision quality control systems, and intelligent automation deployment in precast production environments.
GMT Robotics — Authorised Sales Agent
LPS is the authorised sales agent for GMT Robotics in the precast concrete sector — bringing robotic rebar cage welding automation to manufacturers looking to reduce labour dependency, increase output, and future-proof their production operations.
Carbon Tracker® — LPS framework
LPS’s own specialist carbon monitoring framework — built specifically for EN 15804 requirements and embodied carbon management in precast manufacturing. Available at carbon-tracker.eu.
Together with LPS’s own Carbon Tracker® platform, these partnerships mean clients get both the industry credibility to earn trust and the technical capability to deliver.
